Local News in Brief : Pacoima Woman Slain; Police Have Few Clues

Police are investigating the murder of a Pacoima woman who was found stabbed to death on the driveway in front of her home Tuesday morning.
The victim, Anna Maria Ruiz Fregoso, 23, was found dead at 4:45 a.m. in the 13300 block of Pinney Street after neighbors called police when they heard a woman screaming, Lt. Bernard D. Conine said.
Conine said the woman had been stabbed repeatedly in the upper body. There were few clues to a suspect in the slaying and detectives have not established a motive for the attack, he said.
