Robert W. Austin has been named vice president of operations for EIP Microwave, with responsibility for manufacturing, customer-service operations and quality-assurance activities for the Newport Beach-based manufacturer of test and measurement instruments. Austin had been vice president of operations for Microsource Inc., and before that, spent 14 years at Hewlett Packard, where he held a number of management and engineering positions.
