Dan L. McGurk, chairman and co-founder of Southland Title Corp., has been elected a director of Newport Corp. He replaces Henry Goff, who retired after 10 years on the board. Newport, based in Fountain Valley, manufactures instruments, components and accessories for the laser and electro-optical markets.
