Mother, 3 Children Die After Oven Ignites Fire

PHILADELPHIA — A mother and three of her young children were killed early Sunday when an oven, used to ward off the season’s first bitter cold snap, ignited a fire that flashed through their row house, authorities said. A fourth child, 11 months old, was critically injured and clung to life at St. Joseph’s Hospital for Children.
