Net proceeds of $60,000 were raised at the fourth annual “Bid for Kids,” benefiting the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation of Orange County.
Serving as honorary co-chairs were California Angels pitcher Mike Witt and his wife, Lisa. Teri Wielenga and Bonnie Dankberg were co-chairwomen. The auction and dinner were held Nov.7 at MainPlace/Santa Ana.
The silver anniversary of Ballet Pacifica, celebrated at the Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel Saturday night, grossed $66,000. Dancer Gene Kelly, who did not attend, was honorary chairman. The event honored Lila Zali, Ballet Pacifica founder and artistic director.
Volunteers in Multiple Sclerosis netted $25,000 at a casino night held at the Ritz-Carlton in Laguna Niguel on Friday. Donna Logan and Barbara Agliozzo were co-chairwomen.
