Montebello Top-Seeded in CIF Playoffs

Undefeated Montebello High School is the top-seeded team in the Eastern Conference as CIF Southern Section football playoffs begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
The 10-0 Oilers, champions of the Whitmont League, will play host to West Covina, 5-4-1.
Other first-round games involving Long Beach/Southeast area schools:
Eastern Conference
Bell Gardens, 7-3, is at Northview High in Covina, 8-1-1.
El Rancho, 9-1, is at home against Arlington, 7-3.
Big Five Conference
Moore League champion Long Beach Poly, 6-3, will play Mater Dei, 7-3, at Wilson High.
Long Beach Wilson, 5-4, is at Eisenhower High, 8-2.
Lakewood, 3-6, is at Bishop Amat in La Puente, 10-0.
Central Conference
Glenn, 6-4, is at Bolsa Grande, 10-0.
Suburban League champion Artesia, 9-1, plays host to Anaheim, 7-2-1.
La Mirada, 6-4, plays Pacifica, 7-2-1, at Garden Grove High.
Inland Conference
Olympic League champion Whittier Christian, 7-3, plays Palm Desert, 8-2, at Whittier College.
Valley Christian, 4-6, is at Tehachapi, 7-2-1.
Northwestern Conference
St. Anthony, 8-2, plays San Marino, 7-2, at Clark Avenue Field in Long Beach.
Pius X, 6-4, is at Burroughs, 9-1.
Southern Conference
San Gabriel Valley League champion Dominguez, 8-2, plays host to Santa Monica, 8-1.
Lynwood, 7-3, plays Villa Park, 7-3, at El Modena High.
Cerritos, 7-3, plays Beverly Hills, 8-2, at Santa Monica City College.
