Perfect Season Leaves Bolsa Grande on Top

Bolsa Grande High School, the only county team with a perfect record, was named the top-ranked team in the final Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn. prep football poll.
Bolsa Grande received five, first-place votes and finished with 68 points. Santa Ana received two, first-place votes and finished with 61 points.
The Matadors (10-0) enter the Central Conference playoffs with 19 consecutive victories, the longest current winning streak in the Southern Section. Bolsa Grande scored 406 points in 10 games.
Capistrano Valley, the top-ranked team most of the season, finished fifth after forfeiting a game and then losing to Mission Viejo last week.
