A 25-year-old nurse told authorities he injected hospital patients with potentially lethal drugs so he could play hero and revive them, said prosecutors investigating at least 10 deaths. Richard Angelo, a registered nurse from the Long Island community of Lindenhurst, was arraigned on a single first-degree assault charge that he injected the paralyzing drug Pavulon into a 73-year-old visitor from Yugoslavia at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip. The Yugoslav survived. Angelo is to be held without bail while a grand jury investigates the case.
