Two Bay Area men were being held in South Lake Tahoe on suspicion of murder after a security guard trying to arrest them for shoplifting collapsed and died, police said. Harry Cocco, 32, of Escalon and Kelly Ray Bell, 27, of Fremont were being held without bail in the El Dorado County Jail. Lt. Art Ritter said the two were spotted shoplifting at a supermarket near Stateline; security guard David Lovesledt, 42, collapsed while wrestling with one of the men. The lieutenant said the exact cause of Lovesledt’s death was not known, but he had a history of heart problems.
