Dick Clark Productions Profit Falls to $94,000

Dick Clark Productions’ profit in the first quarter ended Sept. 30 fell to $94,000 from $1.6 million a year earlier, when the film and television production company’s profits were boosted by the sale of the rerun syndication rights for “TV’s Bloopers & Practical Jokes.”
Revenue for the Burbank company, which is controlled by television personality and “American Bandstand” host Dick Clark, fell 15% to $7.6 million. In the year-earlier quarter, the company’s revenue was nearly $9 million, including $3.1 million for the sale of the “TV Bloopers & Practical Jokes” show.
