Father Arrested in Shooting Incident
A 57-year-old San Diego man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of attempted murder of his daughter, according to San Diego Police Sgt. Anne O’Dell.
The incident occurred outside Mike’s Market in the 3400 block of Ocean View Blvd.
David Reed and his daughter Vikki Hendricks, 32, apparently had a dispute over $50 he claimed she owed him, police said.
When Hendricks got into the passenger seat of their vehicle, when Reed removed a 12-gauge shot gun from the trunk. He fired one round, missing his daughter, who had moved out of the way, but he hit the vehicle’s dashboard, O’Dell said.
