Panda Population Studied

TOKYO — Forty zookeepers from nine countries gathered Tuesday in Tokyo to find ways to increase the world’s dwindling population of giant pandas. Only about 1,000 of the animals are believed to remain in the wilds of central China; about 67 live in zoos.
