POLLEN IN LOS ANGELES
Outlook for November
Trees: The next two-month period is the most dormant of the year.
Weeds: They should remain active through the month, with mugwort, ragweed and lamb’s quarter most prevalent.
Grasses: Grass pollens are not a factor until spring, although winter rye seedings do produce localized, measureable pollen.
Molds: Mold spores will vary greatly in relation to rain and humidity, and will generally be the greatest pollen source in November and December.
Note: Indoor allergy control measures remain very important in winter, despite generally lower pollen counts. Fall winds are still a factor as well.
