Hawaii Wins With 1:50 in Game, 39-38

HONOLULU — Quarterback Garrett Gabriel scored on a two-point conversion with 1:50 to play to lift Hawaii over Colorado State, 39-38, in a Western Athletic Conference football game Saturday night.
Trailing 38-31 with 4:26 left, Gabriel guided Hawaii to a 58-yard drive, capped by Chris Roscoe’s 15-yard touchdown catch. Gabriel passed for 340 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Colorado State quarterback Scooter Molander completed 31 of 43 passes for a school-record 449 yards.
Hawaii is 5-4 overall, 3-3 in the WAC. Colorado State, which plays at San Diego State Saturday, is 1-8, 1-5.
