Katella Wins Opener in 3-A Tennis Playoffs

Dena Cleveland, Lynn Vonusa and Alisha Michaels swept their singles matches as Katella High School defeated Palm Springs, 14-4, Friday in a Southern Section 3-A girls’ tennis first-round playoff match at Katella.
Jeannette Arkaki and Christy Gerdes also swept in doubles for Katella, which won the Empire League for the sixth time in nine seasons this year.
