Local News in Brief : Rezoning Plan Studied
- Share via
The Redondo Beach City Council has directed its land-use subcommittee to study possible changes for portions of Catalina Avenue.
The council Wednesday received a report by Community Development Director Harlan J. Curwick recommending that several blocks be rezoned from medium-density residential to a commercial-professional land-use district. The proposal would affect the east side of Catalina Avenue between Diamond and Emerald streets and between Torrance Boulevard and Pearl Street.
The proposed change would bring several existing commercial buildings into conformity with city code.
