SATURDAY LETTERS : Calendar Love & Hate

We, too, wish to add our disappointment over the poor quality and deterioration of The Times in recent years.

As subscribers of more than 20 years, we’ve watched Calendar become nothing more than useful for lining our bird cage. Book Review is a toss-away. The Los Angeles Times Magazine is a miniature run-of-the-mill weekly glossy seen on ordinary newsstands.

The L.A. Times now requires more time to toss out the chaff than to consume the wheat.
