Rolling Hills : Status Quo for Traffic
The City Council adopted a traffic plan that will maintain at present levels the speed limits on five city streets where radar is used to control speeding.
To maintain radar accuracy, the California Vehicle Code requires speed limits on roadways be reviewed every five years. The last speed surveys were completed in February, 1983.
After considering such factors as street width, curvature, grade and surface conditions, Willdan Associates, which conducted a survey, recommended keeping the same speed limits on Portuguese Bend Road, two portions of Crest Road, Eastfield Drive, Saddleback Road and Southfield Drive.
