Ex-Thai Leader Seeks Medical Help in U.S.

BANGKOK, Thailand — Former Prime Minister Kukrit Pramoj left Sunday for Los Angeles to obtain medical treatment for a heart ailment.
Kukrit, 76, who starred opposite Marlon Brando as a fictitious Southeast Asian leader in the 1962 film “The Ugly American,” will be treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
