San Diego College Soccer : Whittemore Leads SDSU Past UC Irvine

Kyle Whittemore scored the game-winning goal early in the second half Sunday to lead San Diego State to a 3-1 victory over UC Irvine (4-9, 2-4) in a nonconference men’s soccer match at San Diego.

Whittemore’s goal gave the Aztecs (11-3) a 2-1 lead, and teammate Kurt Lewis added another goal on a penalty kick less than three minutes later.

UC San Diego 10, Dominican College 0--Carrick Brewster scored five goals to lead UCSD (9-4-2) in the nonconference match in La Jolla.
