The manager of a troubled student co-op near the University of California at Berkeley campus has resigned after being involved in a party at which the hallucinogen LSD was taken in party punch, sending seven people to hospitals. The Sept. 25 party was the latest in a series of incidents that have prompted officials to consider closing Barrington Hall, a 182-resident building that was put on probation by the University Students Cooperative Assn. after incidents of heroin use were reported there in 1985. Robert Dick, manager of the student-run co-op for the last two months, resigned after admitting that he was aware of the use of LSD at the party.
