Rudy Hayek, a Marina del Rey exercise physiologist, has been selected to compete with about 1,200 athletes in the Bud Light Ironman Triathlon World Championship on Saturday in Kona, Hawaii.
Holes in one were scored recently at Los Angeles municipal golf courses by Matt Santino of Santa Monica and Ken Rice of West Los Angeles at Penmar, by Albert Weissman of West Los Angeles at Rancho Park, by 82-year-old Joe Biederman of West Los Angeles at Rancho’s nine-hole course and by Bill Kaplan of West Los Angeles at Roosevelt.
