New Dukakis Campaign Chief

BOSTON — Massachusetts Gov. Michael S. Dukakis today named Susan R. Estrich, a Harvard law professor and member of the Democratic National Committee, to be the new manager of his presidential campaign.
Estrich, 34, who has been on leave from Harvard University while she worked as deputy campaign manager, replaces John Sasso. Sasso resigned from the campaign last week after admitting he distributed a so-called “attack video” on the speech-making practices of Democratic rival candidate Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. of Delaware that led to Biden’s withdrawal from the race.
