3 Hikers Snowed In Atop Mountain Walk to Safety

TANNERSVILLE, N.Y. — A couple and a teen-age girl who were stranded in a sudden snowstorm over the weekend atop 4,025-foot Hunter Mountain walked down Tuesday with two forest rangers dropped in by helicopter, authorities said. The three hikers, who camped on the mountain while three others in the party went for help, said they felt fine.
