Pope John Paul’s Visit to L.A.
Boyd doesn’t understand that part of the Pope’s popularity can be attributed to John Paul II’s steadfast and uncanny ability to keep his story straight.
Boyd is part of a socially and morally bankrupt element within the Episcopal Church which espouses the idea that anything goes. I would say he is a writer-priest-in-residence at the anarchic “Church of What’s Happening Now.â€
Boyd seems to envy the Pope’s magnetism and ability to draw a big crowd. Me thinks Boyd doth protest too much.
