The daughter of Soviet dissident David Goldfarb has received permission to visit her ailing father in New York City and most likely will make the trip from Moscow in about a week, Goldfarb’s son said. Alex Goldfarb said his sister, Olga, called from Moscow to say she has received permission for the trip. News of the Soviet decision came two days after Goldfarb, 69, who was permitted to leave the Soviet Union last year after an eight-year battle, wrote to Soviet Foreign Minister Eduard A. Shevardnadze asking for help in obtaining a visitors’ visa so he could return to see family members he left behind.
