‘The Pope Will Lead the Way’

I just read the article in the Business Section concerning ads that will try to jolt L.A. about its homeless and the Building a Better Los Angeles organization’s hopes to raise $1 million over the next six months to aid the 35,000 homeless here.
How ironic it is that the City of the Angels can readily find large sums of money to provide security for the Pope’s two-day visit. I certainly hope John Paul has something to say about such a distorted sense of values.
