San Diego Police recovered an $80,000 Norman Rockwell painting stolen from a college library in February and stashed behind some furniture in a home, authorities said Wednesday. The painting, titled “Cramming,” was taken Feb. 25 by a burglar who broke into the library at Point Loma Nazarene College. An anonymous tip led officers to a home in the Hillcrest district, where the painting was found wrapped in plastic behind a piece of furniture. The painting first appeared on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post on June 13, 1931. No arrests were made.
