Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker reportedly may bid on a 200-room Wisconsin lodge that could serve as headquarters for a new ministry. The Bakkers have requested information on the bankrupt Telemark Lodge near Cable, Wis., which goes on the auction block Sept. 15. Auctioneer Jim Bohon said an unnamed associate of the Bakkers described the lodge as an ideal site for the couple to resurrect their ministry. The lodge closed in November after workers left because they hadn’t been paid. The site includes a hill for skiing, an 18-hole golf course and a 3,000-seat arena, and has been appraised at more than $13 million.
