Defenseman Vladimir Zubkov, a 29-year-old player with the Soviet Red Army hockey team, will join the Vancouver Canucks, the Hamilton (Canada) Spectator reported.
Sources told the newspaper that the Red Army is being prepared for the move as early as November if an agreement can be reached with the National Hockey League team.
