Paramount : School Salary Talks Start

The Paramount Unified School District board Tuesday extended its contract with the California School Employees Assn. through Sept. 30 and made an initial salary offer to the union, which represents non-teaching employees.
The CSEA contract expired in June, and the union made its opening proposal to the district at that time, asking for a 10% salary increase. Last year, the employees got a 6 1/2% raise.
