Fleetwood Enterprises’ profit rose 43% to $14.2 million in the first quarter, compared to the year-ago period. The Riverside company, which makes motor homes, travel trailers and manufactured housing, said the increase resulted from a 15% sales gain to $362.3 million and a reduction in the company’s federal income tax rate.
