N.Y. Beaches Reopen

EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. — Fifteen miles of Long Island beaches reopened today after being closed to swimmers over the weekend because of the threat of sharks. The beaches, from East Hampton to Montauk, were reopened at 7:20 a.m. by order of the East Hampton town police chief.
