The article by Cox showed positive views between Russia and the U.S. I feel it gives us a choice to look at the Soviet Union not as a threat, but perhaps as a country we can benefit from. Gorbachev’s new policy would help the economic struggles. The Soviets know they cannot survive as a country behind closed doors.
