Charlotte Team Routs Strings at Forum, 30-19

Elna Reinach, with three victories, led the Charlotte Heat to a 30-19 victory over the Los Angeles Strings in a TeamTennis match before 849 fans Wednesday night at the Forum.
Reinach defeated Anne White in women’s singles, 6-3, and teamed with her sister, Monica, to beat White and Lisa Bonder, 6-4. Then, she combined with Mike DePalmer to down White and John Lloyd, 6-4.
In men’s singles, Eliot Teltscher’s six-match winning streak was broken by DePalmer, 6-3.
The Strings (5-7) will play at San Antonio tonight.
