Travelers’ income rose 45% in the second quarter to $105.4 million. Property-casualty insurance businesses continued to be strong, the Hartford, Conn., company said. Travelers noted that the improvement in personal insurance lines continued as price increases and more selective underwriting produced lower loss ratios. Revenue was up 11%.
