THE “FLASH DANCE” KID IS GONE, REPLACED BY A WOMAN OF CALculated splendor. Jennifer Beals, out of Yale and out of sweat clothes, now favors upswept hairdos and sophisticated styles. She and her husband, film maker Alexandre Rockwell, live in New York. In Los Angeles recently to film “Kid Gloves” with Gene Hackman, Beals indulged in a fashion-photo fantasy: extravagant clothes, classic cars, famous places. “She loves Chanel, Gaultier, anything by Gibson Palermo,” her manager, Tim Sweeney, informed us. “That’s true,” Beals added, “but actually, $500 is the most I’ve ever spent on a dress.”
