Do we really need another article on how the “mature” women of Los Angeles are going to desperate lengths to snag a man, while the men go about picking and choosing from a never-ending supply of baited-breathed bimbos? Sunday morning would have been a lot more refreshing had the Los Angeles Times Magazine recognized the real phenomenon occurring in Los Angeles: The presence of women as the breadwinners--”together” women who are successful, self-sufficient and attractive, as opposed to the rampant growth of unmotivated, dependent and shallow males. If the writer had skewed his monotonous, demeaning article in favor of these women, the concept of being single in Los Angeles would perhaps change the attitudes of how these “desperate” women perceive their situation.
