Teofilo Stevenson, a three-time Olympic heavyweight boxing champion, has been charged in connection with the death of a motorcyclist in Cuba two months ago, officials said in Havana.
A government spokesman said Stevenson was the driver of an automobile that collided with a motorcycle near Stevenson’s hometown of Victoria de Las Tunas in eastern Cuba.
Stevenson was released from custody and is awaiting trial, added the official, who declined to provide more details about the accident.
