Standard Logic Inc. said it has arranged to acquire a controlling interest in a refrigerated trucking line with headquarters in Oklahoma.
The Anaheim-based technology company said it will acquire 80% of the common stock and 100% of the preferred stock of Cherokee Acquisition Corp., owner of Cherokee Lines Inc., a regional trucking operation with 1986 revenue of $12 million.
Standard Logic said the acquisition agreement, which is subject to approval of its shareholders, requires it to borrow $3.9 million from InterFirst Venture Corp. of Dallas. Standard Logic will also exchange 45% of its stock for the Cherokee shares.
Standard Logic manufactures computer systems for the restaurant and hotel industries, including point-of-sale electronic terminals that replace traditional cash registers in fast-food restaurants.
