The Japanese entry, Bengal, was awarded victory in a 12-meter yachting world championship race off Porto Cervo, Sardinia, after a jury ruled that New Zealand made an incorrect start despite finishing first.
The decision forced a final race in the best-of-three series today since New Zealand beat Bengal, formerly Australia III, in the first race.
