The World : India Train Wreck Kills 50

A New Delhi-bound express train derailed on a flooded bridge in southern India, killing at least 50 people as two of the cars plunged into a river. The Press Trust of India said 14 cars of the 32-car Hyderabad-New Delhi Dakshin Express jumped the tracks near the town of Prazipet, about 100 miles northwest of Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh state. Rescue workers had not reached at least one of the submerged cars, officials said. About four of the injured were hospitalized, and 700 passengers were taken to Hyderabad.
