Man Injured in Fire: One man received second-degree burns in a fire late Wednesday night that caused $70,000 damage to a home at 11592 Moessler St. Martin Decasis, 45, was treated at Garden Grove Medical Center for burns. Seven other people, who were sleeping when the fire broke out in a room at the rear of the house, escaped injury. Fire officials said there was a smoke detector in the house, but it did not have a battery. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
