Sir Georg Solti, music director of the Chicago Symphony, may be honored on his 75th birthday with a bust in the city’s famous Lincoln Park if, as expected, the city’s park board approves the plan next week. The $30,000-$35,000 bronze likeness of Solti, three times larger than life-size, is to be dedicated in October and is to be financed by private donors. Solti, who has led the Chicago Symphony since 1969, will celebrate his birthday Oct. 9.
