Flying the Flag
In response to the readers who wrote that theirs was the only flag they saw on Flag Day, I used to fly the Stars and Stripes, but I stopped when my flag and staff were stolen from their bracket last July 4th. Maybe the “patriotic thief†was the same person who stole the Christmas lights off the front of my house two years ago. He did leave the cord, and took only the bulbs, so he can’t be all bad.
