Mitch Kupchak and A. C. Green of the National Basketball Assn. champion Lakers toured the Capitol in Sacramento, collecting plaques from the Legislature and medals from the governor.
Gov. George Deukmejian gave metal copies of the seal of his office to Kupchak, the team’s assistant general manager, and Green, a second-year forward. In return, the governor was given two Laker jackets and a cap.
