The Off-Peak Cooling Program of the Southern California Edison Co. is offering new incentives for managing energy use in modern air-conditioned complexes, program manager Dick Casey said.
“Our new cost-reduction program encourages the customer to do a feasibility study to determine if off-peak cooling can be beneficial to his business operation. And we will reimburse that customer up to $10,000 for that feasibility study,” he stated.
“If the program can be implemented, Edison will also reimburse the customer $200 per kilowatt of deferred load, and up to a maximum of $300,000 per system on a one-time basis.”
