Help for the Homeless?
As one takes a walk along Wilshire Boulevard between Normandie and Vermont, it is hard to recognize the splendor of the past. First to go was the beautiful Chapman Park Hotel, with its courtyard, to make way for that giant Equitable Life Building. The next landmark to leave was the Brown Derby and this was replaced by a mini-mall.
Now we find out that the beautiful Ambassador Hotel is about to be razed. Perhaps we can have a giant mini-mall featuring some fast-food outlets and a needed video store.
Maybe the developers might build a giant serve-yourself gas station.
A final suggestion for the property is a museum to put relics of the buildings that are being demolished for progress.
