Valley Dodgers Win Forfeit, Play Today
The San Fernando Valley Dodgers, a semipro team that competes in the National Baseball Congress, will play their home opener against the Ventura County Royals in a noon doubleheader today at Cal State Northridge.
The Dodgers won two games by forfeit Saturday when the umpires ruled that the El Rio Blue Sox’s home field at Oxnard College was unplayable.
The Dodgers finished seventh last season in the National Baseball Congress World Series.
