Late Request’s Rally Nets Hollypark Win

Late Request, ridden by Alex Solis, rallied through the stretch Thursday and won by a nose in the $45,000 feature race at Hollywood Park.

Slyly Gifted, ridden by Eddie Delahoussaye, finished second, two lengths in front of the even-money favorite, Sperry, ridden by Pat Valenzuela.

Late Request, trained by Laz Barrera, covered the mile in 1:34 3/5 and paid $15.80, $6 and $2.80. Slyly Gifted returned $4.40 and $2.40. Sperry paid $2.20 to show.
